Informa to Bring MAGIC to Miami in January

MIAMI — Informa Markets Fashion, organizers of the largest wholesale fashion market in the U.S., will host its first MAGIC in Miami at the Miami Convention Center on Jan. 8 and 9, 2024.

This new Southeast regional trade show will provide fashion retailers access to immediate products to expand and replenish offerings at the beginning of the year and pre-order summer collections for delivery before brands launch Autumn 2024 at MAGIC Las Vegas.

MAGIC Miami will host approximately 400 fashion brands with a high-low assortment and a new swim and resort wear offering. The event location opens an opportunity to reach an international audience with proximity to the Caribbean and provides a destination for the MAGIC community for a new year and new experience. MAGIC Miami offers brands the chance to gain exposure and break into new markets while opening buying and fulfillment opportunities for retailers that align with the fashion cycle outside core collection seasons. Exhibiting brands and purchasing buyers will have a chance to experience MAGIC with Miami’s culture, art and fashion.

“Based on our market research, customer feedback and data insights, the Southeast region is a strong market for an intermediary event. MAGIC Miami will be the perfect space for brands to enhance brand recognition and explore new avenues of expansion,” said Kelly Helfman, President of Informa Markets Fashion.

One of the continuing trends to come out of the pandemic is the popularity of regional meetings. That holds true for the fashion industry. “There has been an overwhelming demand from brands and retailers for an intermediate regional show, especially in the Southeast region of the U.S. We decided to host MAGIC Miami at the Miami Convention Center for the convenience and walkability for our guests. Everything is within reach, including beautiful beaches, art galleries and a variety of top-rated restaurants. Miami is a cultural hub for fashion, art and entertainment with high energy that we expect to match with our event,” Jordan Rudow, Vice President of MAGIC, said. “We know our community well; we hear the requests, and we understand the needs of the market. MAGIC Miami will fulfill that need for an intermediate show in a place where we can all work and enjoy the experience.”

Categories featured at MAGIC Miami will include trend, young contemporary, contemporary and modern sportswear apparel as well as an assortment of footwear, accessories, home, gifts, beauty, swim and resort wear. Confirmed brands include Little Words Project, D’Amelio Footwear, Mod Ref, Skies are Blue, Elan, Wishlist, Fate, Emory Park and Staccato.

More than just events, MAGIC is a deeply rooted community, a place brands and retailers call home.
