ExpoDevCo and UK-based Montgomery Group Unite to Bring Hotel Show Stateside

ATLANTA, Ga. — A partnership with Exposition Development Company (ExpoDevCo) and Montgomery Group will bring the successful Independent Hotel Show to the Miami Beach Convention Center November 2-3, 2022. The show was founded in London in 2012 and launched in Amsterdam in 2019.

The Independent Hotel Show brings together thousands of hotel owners, general managers and key decision-makers from boutique and luxury brands to network and do business, as well as to source new products and services.

The market size of the boutique hotel industry in the United States was forecast to reach $12.3 billion dollars in 2021, following a drop in 2020 due to the impact of COVID, according to The number of businesses in the boutique hotel sector in the U.S. has been growing in past decade in the U.S, and was forecast to reach nearly 5,000 in 2021.

“I see a bright spot for independent hotels and all hospitality, as this is a resilient group,” Stephanie Everett, COO & Partner, ExpoDevCo, said. “I think it’s less about recovery at this point as no one has a crystal ball, but more about rebuilding confidence in the industry and getting back to business while learning to navigate new waters with Covid now being part of the mix. Independent Hotel Show Miami will be a resource to aid in this rebuilding and reconnecting through new networks, partnerships and education.”

As a destination, Miami Beach was a logical choice because it is known for its colorful and eclectic boutique hotels, many dating from the Art Deco era. In addition, it offers excellent access for hoteliers from the Caribbean and Latin America.
