AAPEX Show Increases Digital Engagement and Efficiency with CompuSystems’ New M3 Mobile App

CHICAGO — The 2023 AAPEX Show (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo), held Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2023, at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, served as the launching ground for CompuSystems M3 mobile app, which establishes a benchmark in digital engagement and efficiency for trade shows and organizers. 

For its 2023 trade show, the AAPEX team set goals to streamline access to digital content from exhibitors, increase engagement between attendees and exhibitors and upgrade the New Product & Packaging Showcases. Using CompuSystems’ M3 mobile app, the AAPEX Show was able to exceed their goals and track valuable information for benchmarking, while providing attendees with an enhanced experience.

Future shows will be able to measure the effectiveness of M3 by comparing the number and quality of leads generated before and after its usage, and using the detailed data collected about attendees, exhibitors can access valuable insights for targeted marketing and follow-ups.

By displaying the M3 QR codes in booths, exhibitors are able to exchange contact information with leads immediately and can share any content directly to their smartphones. Over the course of the AAPEX Show, there were 28,507 M3 scans from more than 4,600 attendees, and exhibitors saw a 196% increase in leads captured due to streamlined digital content delivery.

There was even a gamification element to the launch, with a leaderboard and app tracking scans to add competitiveness and fun to the attendee experience, which in turn boosted attendee interaction. Another aspect of the M3 app that helped elevate the attendee experience was its flexibility, as attendees were able to access information whenever it suited them best throughout the event.

The implementation of the M3 app also helped to lower costs and environmental impact since it cut down the need for printing and transporting marketing materials for the approximately 600 exhibitors who used the app.

CompuSystems developed M3 so it will work at trade shows that the company is not the registration and lead retrieval provider, and it works on all types of shows, including consumer events where tickets are sold and there is no registration or badges.

AAPEX Show has been featured in the Trade Show Executive Gold 100 rankings 15 times and Fastest 50 rankings three times. The show also picked up two Grand Awards at the 2023 Fastest 50 Awards & Summit for The Largest Fastest 50 Show by Total Attendance and Fastest-Growing Show in Sheer Numbers by Total Attendance.

The 2024 AAPEX Show is scheduled to take place Nov. 5-7 at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas.
