IAEE Announces 2020 Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund Grant Recipients Andrea Doyle – Senior News Editor

DALLAS – Six committed young professionals are this year’s grant recipients of the 2020 Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund.

The task force behind this fund is committed to recognizing deserving young professionals and supporting them by providing funding to help further their education and professional growth, ensuring a challenging and engaging educational experience.

The Bob Dallmeyer Education fund is specifically designed for young professionals, those new to the exhibitions and events industry, people that are intellectually curious about trends and opportunities, and those that want to learn more about the global marketplace.

“The Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund is committed to assisting professionals in our industry pursue the highest level of professional growth they choose to achieve,” said IAEE Executive Vice President & COO Cathy Breden, CMP, CAE, CEM. “These deserving individuals have demonstrated a passion and dedication to our industry that serves to benefit us all as they develop into future leaders.”

Every year, grant applicants submit detailed information about their exhibitions and events industry employment and experience as well as their plans for continuing education and professional career development. Opportunities include: funding to attend events outside of their home country but related to the exhibition industry, and funding for speakers and activities consistent with the Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund mission.

Bob Dallmeyer was President of global exhibition management company RD International for 30 years and throughout his half century career in the trade show industry, he organized some of the most significant trade exhibitions in the world and was also a much loved and admired mentor and icon. The Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund was created as a memorial to Bob and to further opportunities for education and mentoring without regard to geographical boundaries.

And without further ado, the 2020 Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund recipients are: Shannon Binger, CEM, Sr. Manager, Meeting Services, American Thoracic Society; Hillary Harvey, Meetings Coordinator for the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM); Dana Jasat, CEM, Manager, Exhibit Sales, International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA); Jordan Lawson, Event Technology Sales Leader, Freeman; Farirai Nandipa Muregi, Events Director, Farirai Nandipa Events, and Danielle Tempesta, Manager, Event Operations for Informa Markets Limited.
