LONDON — In line with its stated mission of accelerating growth, Hyve Group has announced another acquisition. This time, it’s GSV Summit, which is comprised of two leading U.S. events focused on education innovation and workforce development: the ASU+GSV Summit and the AI Show.
Just last month, Hyve announced the acquisition of Behavioral Health Tech, a community of health plans, employers, benefits consultants, behavioral health providers, digital health companies, investors and policy makers. Its Behavioral Health Tech Conference will take place in San Diego Nov. 11-13. That acquisition built on Hyve’s other B2B events in the healthcare space, including HLTH US, HLTH Europe and ViVE.
The GSV acquisition is Hyve’s fifth in the past year and another step in the company’s GO27 three-year plan to accelerate growth and optimize its business model. The goal? To make the company #1 in industry-defining events.
The ASU+GSV Summit was co-founded by Deborah Quazzo, Michael Moe and Michael Cohn in 2010, a collaboration between Global Silicon Valley (GSV) and Arizona State University. It has since become known as “The Davos of Education.”
“One of the reasons why the summit has worked is because it isn’t an investment conference,” Moe told Forbes. “It is a kind of strange cocktail mix of different constituents that all have different backgrounds and come at this from different angles, but come together because they want to be connected to innovation and education technology and that kind of broader mission.”

The ASU+GSV Summit’s next edition is set for April 12-15, 2026, and the AI Show will take place April 11-13, in San Diego.
Hyve has plans to replicate the summit in Europe and possibly Asia, depending on customer demand.
The educational technology market in the U.S. is worth $74 billion. This new acquisition will complement Hyve Group’s other platform in this space: Bett (British Educational Training and Technology Show). Founded 40 years ago, Bett’s three shows in London, Asia and Brazil attract more than 90,000 attendees. The two will operate as distinct brands, taking advantage of their synergies and expanding their global reach.
“Together, GSV Summit and Bett form a powerful new alliance across the global learning landscape,” Mark Shashoua, Hyve’s CEO, stated. “We’re also thrilled that founders Deborah Quazzo, Michael Moe and Michael Cohn will continue to play a key role, with Deborah staying on as Chair, and Michael and Michael as Advisors, helping us keep GSV’s founding mission of creating equal access to opportunity through innovation in education alive.”
