CHICAGO — Hyve Group announced it acquired Behavioral Health Tech, a conference bringing together the behavioral health technology and innovation community to expand access to mental health, substance use, autism and Intellectual/Developmental Disability (I/DD) care.
Looking ahead, Hyve plans to collaborate with the existing show team to integrate its own best practices and hosted-meeting programs into the event. The organization also sees opportunities to grow the brand globally using its geo-cloning playbook.
“What’s exciting about this event is the founder energy behind it – that hunger, vision, and drive you only get from something built from the ground up. It’s loved by its community, has real momentum, and we’re extremely proud to bring it into our portfolio,” stated Hyve CEO Mark Shashoua.
The event will continue to be led by its Founder, Solome Tibebu.
“Creating Behavioral Health Tech is deeply personal for me, having spent my entire career focused on improving mental health access and innovation,” stated Tibebu. “I couldn’t think of a better home than Hyve and can’t wait to get started and collaborate.”
Behavioral Health Tech: By the Numbers
Since launching as a virtual event in 2020, Behavioral Health Tech has seen growth year over year as it evolved into an in-person event and year-round community.
In 2024, Behavioral Health Tech attracted more than 2,000 attendees, with attendance expected to grow by 25% in 2025.
Growth Through Acquisitions
The acquisition of Behavioral Health Tech reflects Hyve’s GO27 strategy — its three-year plan for growth and optimization to position itself as the top destination for industry-defining events.
The deal also marks Hyve’s fourth acquisition in the last 12 months, following on the heels of its recent purchase of Manifest and HLTH, which included HLTH US, HLTH Europe and ViVE.
