HONG KONG — With 60,000 attendees and 2,000 exhibitors expected to pack the halls of AsiaWorld-Expo Nov. 15-17, all eyes are on Cosmoprof 2023 Asia as it returns to its hometown of Hong Kong for its 26th edition.

Cosmoprof 2023 Asia — a trade show that features new and innovative beauty products for retail and professional distribution channels — is a joint venture between BolognaFiere and Informa Markets. It will also run concurrently with Cosmopack Asia, which focuses on the supply chain, including ingredients, machinery and equipment, packaging and manufacturing, taking place Nov. 14-16 in the same location.

As of press time, 99% of the 100,000 square meters of exhibition space had been sold or reserved by beauty brands from around the globe, ranging from Dancoly Cosmetique France to E & J Korea. More than 20 group and country pavilions will also represent all corners of the globe, from Australia to Spain to the U.S. So far, show organizers are reporting increased buyer participation from certain regions, including China, APAC, Europe and the U.S.

Highlights include a high-profile awards program for products, with categories ranging from hair, skincare and make-up products to green and organic products. The innovative Cosmotalks educational program will cover the industry’s hot topics, including clean cosmetics, sustainability and “Celebrating Otherness.”

The high-profile Cosmoprof 2023 show — the leading B2B event in the Asia-Pacific region — is an important step in Hong Kong’s efforts to reclaim its place on the world stage since lifting its COVID quarantines and fully reopening to visitors earlier this year. Once Asia’s premier finance and tourism hub, the city is banking on the return of major events like this, along with Art Basel, which took place in March, and the world’s biggest timepiece event, the 42nd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and 11th Salon de Te, in September.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Cosmoprof Asia’s international communities back to Hong Kong for the 26th edition of our world-class beauty show,” David Bondi, Senior Vice President – Asia of Informa Markets and Director of Cosmoprof Asia Ltd., said. “As the world returns to pre-pandemic norms, we are already seeing buyers and suppliers flocking back to their favorite Asia-based show for business and knowledge, where Asia’s beauty technology and innovations, insights and trends will once again shine in the global spotlight.”
