Global Direct™ Offers IAEE Recertification Hours for Attendees

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Las Vegas – Attendees at Trade Show Executive’s (TSE) Global Direct will have the opportunity to collect credits toward their recertification as Certified Event Managers (CEM) during this Summer’s inaugural event at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa.

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) is teaming up with TSE to provide up to five professional development hours toward renewal of their CEM designation. This exciting new feature of Global Direct will give busy, high-level show organizers the opportunity to maintain their certification while also exploring new opportunities to expand their event brands to Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

“Life at the C-level often means full schedules every day, which can make it difficult to carve out the time needed to recertify in these important programs,” said TSE Publisher and Editor Gabrielle Weiss. “We are very excited to team up with IAEE on this inspired new feature at Global Direct.”

Global Direct is the latest addition to the TSE events portfolio. The hosted-buyer gathering debuts July 12-14 and brings together pre-qualified show organizers eyeing overseas expansion with the top managers of major convention centers serving international markets. Global Direct is truly global with exhibitions centers from Europe, India , South Asia, China, Canada and Mexico planning to attend.

The event’s Strategic Partner is IAEE, whose President & CEO David DuBois serves as a member of the Advisory Board. Joining TSE in the execution of Global Direct are long-time international experts Cherif Moujabber, President of Creative Expos & Conferences, and Steve Sind, President and CEO of Global Event Strategies.

“As a strategic partner for TSE’s Global Direct, we are pleased to offer attendees the opportunity to earn five professional development hours toward recertification of the CEM designation — or other industry certifications, such as the CAE, CMP or CMM,” said DuBois. “Professional development is integral to continued success in the exhibitions industry, and the goals and objectives of IAEE align with those of TSE Global Direct.”

Global Direct provides 2 ½ days of networking opportunities, one-on-one meetings and a calendar of Executive Boardroom presentations by the various venues. An educational program is also being finalized and will give attendees a rare opportunity to hear the views and insights of international industry leaders on organizing trade shows in far-away markets.

The pre-qualification window is open for U.S. show organizers interested in attending Global Direct. Details are available at www.tseglobaldirect.com. Organizers on the guest list will be whisked off to the Westin, all expenses paid, where they will forge new relationships with top venue managers in a relaxed setting far different from the busier environment found at major industry conferences.
