Global Direct™ in the Sweet Spot of Industry Expansion Trend

Chicago – Trade Show Executive’s (TSE) Global Direct™ launches this Summer in the midst of a solid trend toward international expansion by exhibition organizers. According to this year’s UFI Global Barometer of exhibition organizers surveyed from around the world, 38% responded that they want to operate in new countries.

“The UFI Barometer shows that using international expansion strategically to grow your business is no longer a futuristic idea or long-term goal for U.S. organizers,” said TSE Editor/Publisher Gabrielle Weiss. “A worldwide footprint is not only increasingly important right now, but also more practical than ever. Global Direct provides a user-friendly platform for the creation of new partnerships between organizers and the key exhibition venues in thriving overseas markets.”

Global Direct is a newly created hosted-buyer event that brings qualified show organizers together with top-level venue executives for 2 ½ days of networking, education and deal-making that will clear the way to the expansion of U.S. show brands into Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. Global Direct debuts July 12-14 at the Westin Lake Las Vegas. Qualified organizers who are actively planning to expand overseas will receive complementary transportation, lodging, and meals.

The event will include excellent networking plus One-On-One meetings and boardroom presentations by the people who can make things happen, and compelling content delivered by industry thought leaders with take-away knowledge about successful organizing outside the US. “Global Direct is designed to bring show organizers together with venue executives who can give them the green light,” said TSE Vice President of Events Diane Bjorklund. “Global Direct provides a productive and efficient business environment far from the hectic schedules, crowds and distractions that can characterize many industry events.”

The program is being developed by TSE in conjunction with a blue-ribbon global advisory panel to ensure that everyone’s goals are met. Along with TSE, Global Direct was co-founded by Cherif Moujabber, President & CEO Creative Expos and Conferences, and Steve Sind, President & CEO of Global Event Strategies.
