Gen Cap Buys Nth Degree; Execs Remain

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Atlanta, GA – The management team at Nth Degree, Inc. will remain intact following the Atlanta-based event marketing firm’s acquisition by private equity group Gen Cap America on March 15. John Yohe will stay on as president and CEO along with the rest of his top executives.

Gen Cap said Nth Degree had carved out a solid presence in face-to-face marketing. “Nth Degree is well-positioned for global growth based on its blue chip customer base, experienced team, and global infrastructure,” said Gen Cap Senior Vice President Mark Isaacs. “We look forward to helping the firm expand to meet its customers’ global event marketing needs and continue to grow at a pace that exceeds the industry standards.”

Nth Degree has offices in Europe, China and 21 major convention cities in North America where it provides marketing services for trade shows and other events as well as installation and dismantling services.

Nth Degree was founded in 1979 under the name Installation & Dismantle (I&D) and paved the way for independent I&D services in the trade show industry. It eventually branched out into marketing and event management. The founders of I&D — Tony Amodeo, Jack McEntee and Pat Alacqua – sold out to Frontenac Company in 2001. The investor group owned the firm for 11 years before selling to Gen Cap.
