LAS VEGAS — More than 100 educational sessions and other learning opportunities laid out along multiple tracks await attendees at this year’s International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Annual Meeting & Exhibition, also delightfully known as Expo! Expo!, when it runs Dec. 3-5 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The big annual event for the projected crowd of more than 2,400 trade show organizers and valued industry partners is around the corner. The room block is sold out, but plenty of other lodging in the vicinity is still available for late registrations.

There will be plenty of colleagues to network with as well as a full exhibit hall featuring superb destination towns and the latest in specialized technology for show organizers. Out in the aisles with the rest of the top-tier vendors is the Trade Show Executive (TSE) booth, which will be manned by members of the TSE editorial staff and sales crew and will provide plenty of conversation about the state of the exhibitions industry.

There will also be outreach to first-time attendees, featuring an exclusive welcome reception for the freshman class featuring a crash course on effective networking. Meanwhile, an exclusive first-timer lounge, sponsored by Shepard and located on the Lower Level, will be open from Dec. 3-5.

The exhibit hall won’t be the only place at Expo! Expo! where technology and the latest show strategies will be available. The IAEE educational agenda is packed with opportunities for attendees to expand their horizons and hear the insights of the veteran organizers who have steered the industry through the first 20 years of the 21st Century.

The sessions will cover a wide range of topics and are arranged in five educational tracks:

  • Event Technology – Technology-focused content designed for show organizers and presented as real-life case studies
  • Science & Technology of a Show – Content designed for industry IT professionals
  • Attendee Acquisition & Experience – Insights on show branding and building attendee loyalty
  • Show Design & Strategy – Managing the operations and seamless execution of trade shows and other events
  • Exhibitor Sales & Partnerships – Identifying revenue streams along with enhancing exhibitor and partnership opportunities

Show managers looking to build a solid foundation for their careers will also be able to earn credits toward their Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) credential at Expo! Expo! Four CEM classes taught by leading industry instructors will be held on Dec. 2.
