San Juan Capistrano, Calif. – Eric Lisman has been named Executive Vice President, Corporate Development at Emerald Expositions, LLC and will take the lead in Emerald’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate business development activities.
Lisman, who will report to CFO Phil Evans, joins Emerald at a busy time. The company has been active in the M&A market “We closed six acquisitions in 2016 and one more so far in 2017,” said Evans. “Eric worked with us as a consultant on a number of these transactions, and we have been extremely impressed with his strategic insights, commercial acumen and collaborative approach.”
The Boston-based Lisman has compiled a long resume in the trade show industry, much of which revolves around the fashion and apparel sector. He spent 14 years as Executive Vice President – Corporate Development and General Counsel at Advanstar Communications. He also was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Reed Elsevier for about 10 years and most-recently ran his own strategic and transaction consulting firm serving the trade show, conference and media-related industries.
