ESCA Launches ALL IN Campaign

Sue Pelletier, Senior Editor

DALLAS — The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) is launching a new campaign called ALL IN to demonstrate how its members are preparing to bring events back safely — and they are asking for your participation.

ESCA is seeking short, four-minute videos about how exhibition services companies and contractors are preparing to bring back in-person events, from the health and safety precautions they’re taking to how they are managing the unique challenges posed by COVID-19. They are also looking for stories about how members are handling hot-topic issues such as staffing, flexibility and communication, as well as what new technologies and solutions they’ve devised to mitigate any real or perceived concerns.

“During, and coming out of this global pandemic, everything has evolved, including events and suppliers,” ESCA Board Member Randall Pekowski, President and COO, The Expo Group, said. “The member companies of ESCA have been impacted the hardest — and the most resilient have evolved. ESCA is the platform to share the advancements and restart plans of its membership to event organizers.”

To further its goal of sharing the collective work and challenges that the events industry will face, ESCA will showcase the videos on its website. Portions of the videos may also be used in a June 15 virtual panel discussion, where ESCA President Neil McMullin will host industry leaders from venues to labor to contractors to suppliers to answer questions customers have about how the industry will be tackling the unique challenges that will come with the return of in-person events.

“Our campaign will communicate we are ready for not only a return to business but to be a part of the evolutions of events,” said Pekowski. “We will see a greater evolution of face-to-face events over the next several years that we haven’t seen in decades — new models, new strategies, new partnerships, and new revenue streams. ESCA’s vision is to capture the voice of every member company and share these voices over multiple mediums over the next 90 days.”

The deadline to submit videos about the unique initiatives you are implementing is May 28. You can upload your video at Expo-ESCA Content Submission Form. ESCA also has created a tip sheet for how to create a professional, persuasive video here.
