San Juan Capistrano, Calif.—Emerald Expositions, LLC, announced on Tuesday that it has purchased Digital Dealer Conference & Expo from Dealer Communications a multi-platform business serving the automotive dealership market.
Emerald Expositions, a business-to-business trade show and conference producer, did not disclose a purchase price that also included Dealer Magazine, a publication for franchised automotive dealership owners and managers.
Digital Dealer Conference is the retail automotive industry’s leading digital strategy conference and trade show focused on introducing, exploring and implementing the various digital components required to engage today’s modern automotive customer.
Twice a year, this three-day conference attracts more than 1,000 dealers, managers and over 100 exhibiting companies.
“This acquisition is a great fit for our business,” said Darrell Denny, Executive Vice President of Emerald Expositions, which is based in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. “Just as our IRCE events serve the broader retail community with best-in-class e-commerce education and a strong expo platform, the Digital Dealer events provide the same formula for thousands of owners, managers and employees at car dealerships in North America.”
Denny added, “Digital Dealer Conference & Expo is a well-run company. The firm’s acquisition enables Emerald’s participation in the vertical market through the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition held in June at McCormick Place West in Chicago.”
Michael Roscoe, Owner and CEO of Dealer Communications, said the purchase will take the business to the next level. Roscoe will serve as a consultant to Emerald, and Dealer Communications employees will join Emerald.
