CHICAGO — DRPG, a UK-based global creative communications agency, acquired The Special Event Company (TSEC). TSEC is a North Carolina-based live and virtual event agency that has produced more than 5,000 events worldwide with more than 2 million event attendees.
Founded in 1987, TSEC provides services for academic, corporate, incentive and virtual events, as well as creative and technical services.
The acquisition provides DRPG will a wealth of expertise and experience, while expanding both companies’ presence in the North American and global business events markets. TSEC also provides DRPG with turn-key solutions, innovative event strategies and a virtual communication studio in North Carolina.
Given TSEC’s location, DRPG will have increased access to a strong business landscape, reflecting the company’s desire to strengthen its footprint on the continent and leverage the region’s culture of collaboration.

TSEC will continue to operate as its own brand with extended services offered between both companies. TSEC’s President and Vice President will continue leading the business, with Founder Sally Webb becoming a Non-Executive Director and Matt Franks, DRPG’s Group Director of Events, assuming the role of CEO.
