Deadline Extended for TSE Gold 100 Awards and Women to Watch Initiative

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

CHICAGO – A new deadline of Aug. 23 has been set for show organizers to submit their nominations for the Trade Show Executive (TSE) Gold 100 Grand Awards and for the next class of honorees on the annual Women to Watch.

Entry forms are available on the TSE Gold 100 website, and the honorees will be among the stars at the Gold 100 Awards & Summit on Sept. 25-27 in San Diego.

Gold 100 Grand Awards
The shows named to the Gold 100 each year are selected based on the sheer size of their sprawling exhibit floors; however, there can be more to a show than meets the eye. The Grand Awards showcase is not only about glittering metrics, but other outstanding aspects of creativity, solid operations, and overall excellence. There is still time to nominate events that set the “gold standard” in these other categories:

  • Most Innovative Show
  • Most Extreme Results from Social Media
  • “Stickiest” Show Floor
  • Most Commendable Green Initiatives
  • Best Use of Technology
  • Most Impressive Surge in Sponsorship Sales (new)
  • The Do-Gooder Award
  • Slam Dunk Award for Best New Idea
  • The Marketing Genius Award
  • Best Gold 100 Show Extension Overseas
  • Best Consumer Component within a Trade Show (new)
  • The Greatest Show of 2018

Show organizers can nominate any show held last year, not necessarily their own show or even one from the Gold 100 roster. The honorees selected by TSE in these categories will receive the instantly recognizable crystal trophy onstage at the Sept. 26 Gold 100 Awards Gala. The Grand Awards nomination form can be found at: https://www.tsegold100.com/nominate/.

Women to Watch
The TSE Women to Watch Initiative annually asks show organizers to nominate the women who are making their mark in the trade show industry. The honorees are selected by a panel of TSE editors based on criteria including outstanding achievements, leadership qualities, and overall excellence in show management. The honorees will be on the Gold 100 guest list and will take part in the discussions and networking opportunities. The nomination form is available at: https://www.tsegold100.com/women-to-watch-initiative/.

Last year’s inaugural Women to Watch class featured six show executives representing top private organizers and associations with senior-level responsibilities in show management, sales, and operations. The trade show industry has a deep pool of talent and star quality from which to draw the next blue-ribbon team of Women to Watch.

Nominations for the Grand Awards and the Women to Watch are due by Aug. 23. And there is still time to make plans to join your friends and colleagues at the Gold 100 festivities at the posh Fairmont Grand Del Mar. Information on registration, housing, and the schedule of events is available at https://www.tsegold100.com/.
