Washington, DC- Reba Pittman Walker will join the Washington Convention Center Authority as Deputy General Manager on January 3rd, according to an announcement made today by Tom Mobley, General Manager & CEO. Pittman Walker was part of the team that opened the first Washington Convention Center in 1982 and is currently the President of the Hotel Association of Washington, DC.
Pittman Walker had been with the old Washington Convention Center for 12 years; four of them as Director of Operations. She has also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Agriculture; Acting Assistant Secretary for Administration under President Bill Clinton; and as Chief of Staff for Washington, DC Mayor Anthony A. Williams.
Pittman Walker serves on the boards of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the ASAE Foundation, the DC Chamber of Commerce and the Washington, DC Convention and Tourism Corporation.
