Atlanta – David Audrain will be leaving his position as COO/Executive Vice President of ConvExx in Las Vegas to head up Messe Frankfurt, Inc., which organizes seven events from its Atlanta office. Among them are Techtextil North America, Paperworld USA and Interior Lifestyle USA; the Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo in Vancouver; and PAACE Automechanika Mexico held annually in Mexico City.
Messe Frankfurt, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt Exhibitions GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany which produces over 100 events in 16 countries. Audrain will assume the new position at the end of November. He succeeds Roland Bleinroth who will join the Board of Management of Messe Stuttgart in Stuttgart/Germany in January 2006.
Audrain joined ConvExx in August 2001 after serving as General Manager for the Men’s division of MAGIC at Advanstar Communications. Previously, he managed the Surfaces, Custom Home and NACE trade shows for Hanley Wood Exhibitions and was Vice President of Miller Freeman, Inc. in Dallas. He was the 2002 Chairman of the International Association for Exposition Management (IAEM).
