Kennesaw, GA – Courtney Muller, former senior vice president for Reed Exhibitions, has joined Urban Expositions as executive vice president. Urban Expositions was founded in 1995 and built a solid foundation on the gift, souvenir and decorative accessories industry. It has a portfolio of 34 shows and recently began expanding into other sectors, including art, gaming, food service and aviation. It’s most recent launch was the Flying Aviation Expo, which debuted October 31-November 2 in Palm Springs.
Muller will have a full plate at the Atlanta-area show organizing company. She will oversee daily operations and also be on the lookout for new launches, acquisitions and partnerships.
“Courtney is a widely recognized talent in the trade show industry who is known for her ability to build lasting relationships with important customers and clients,” said Doug Miller, partner and president of Urban Expositions. “She is the perfect person to help us as we look forward to continued growth.”
Muller has been in the exhibition industry nearly 25 years and was the featured Power Lunch guest in the August 2012 issue of Trade Show Executive. Most of her career has been at Reed where she was in charge of the Global Gaming Expo, BookExpo America, and several other trade shows, including a group of food-service events. She is a recipient of Reed’s in-house President’s Award and Chairman’s Award.
“This is a perfect opportunity,” she said of her new position. “The event business is an intimate business, and that fact should never be lost. Urban Expositions has built their business on that principle, and I couldn’t be happier carrying that forward.”
