ORLANDO — Full-service video production company CNTV has appointed John Wilson as its new Vice President, Business Development for the Northeast.

Wilson is an award-winning journalist with decades of experience in the industry, who led over 100 team members as Vice President/News Director at CBS3, Philadelphia, and then served as Interim News Director at TEGNA Inc. Media Corporation.

He then joined CNTV as a Content Manager, most recently leading on-location coverage of ISPOR Europe 2023. He orchestrated coverage from the planning phase to post-production, resulting in an in-depth digital program.

“John Wilson’s extensive experience in production and his impressive leadership qualities make him the perfect choice to lead our business development efforts into the future,” Marcelo Zolessi, Co-Founder of CNTV, said.

In his new role, Wilson will drive business growth, cultivate partnerships, and expand CNTV’s presence in Washington, D.C., New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia.

“I am honored to be a part of the CNTV team and excited about the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of this incredible organization. I look forward to leveraging my experience to strengthen CNTV’s presence in the Northeast and to foster meaningful partnerships that drive innovation and excellence,” Wilson said.

The appointment comes as CNTV looks to expand its presence in the Northeast region of the U.S.

“So many of our association clients are based in Washington, D.C., and our for-profit clients are based in New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia, and with John being based in Pennsylvania, it makes sense to our growth and expansion for the future,” Carrie Ferenac, Co-Founder and President, CNTV, said. “John will attend chapter meetings for PCMA, IAEE and ASAE.”

CNTV is also focused on enhancing its partnerships. Last year, for example, it created a strategic partnership with Cobalt Event Studios, a progressive event solutions agency. It has also partnered with IAEE and SISO to create content. “We plan to continue to do this and add on partnerships,” Ferenac said. “It’s all about collaboration to provide the best service we can for our clients.”
