LONDON — CloserStill Media acquired a majority stake in the Hydrogen Technology Expo and Carbon Capture Technology Expo events in the U.S. and Germany. The two co-located events are additions to the company’s new Future Transport and Infrastructure Group, which was established with its acquisition of UKI Media and Events.
Hydrogen Technology Expo and Carbon Capture Technology Expo are held annually in Houston, Texas, in June and Bremen, Germany in September. Trans-Global Events launched the show series in 2021 in Germany, and then expanded the trade show events to North America in 2022.

Since the launch, the two trade shows have seen significant growth, with a 223% increase in exhibitor numbers in North America and a 178% increase in Europe for the 2023 shows. The growth is credited to industry increasingly focusing on and investing in decarbonization.

In its second year, the U.S. trade shows welcomed nearly 5,000 attendees and more than 300 exhibitors. The third edition of the European shows, to be held Sept. 27-28, 2023, is sold out and will feature more than 525 exhibitors and attract an expected 8,000 attendees.
The North American show will take place June 26-27, 2024, in Houston at the NRG Center.
