LAS VEGAS — Caesars Entertainment is celebrating Global Wellness Day (GWD) by hosting the Caesars Global Wellness Challenge, a two-day competition powered by Heka Health.

“Wellness is taking center stage and is a fun and beneficial way to engage participants virtually as well as in-person. Walking, yoga, tai chi, mediation, journaling, they can all be incorporated into a gathering,” Reina Herschdorfer, Director of Marketing, National Meetings and Events for Caesars Entertainment, said. “Trade show organizers are pulled in so many stressful directions. We created this program to create a sense of well-being.”

Beginning Friday, June 9 at 12:01 a.m. PT, Caesars Entertainment kicks off its Caesars Global Wellness Challenge. For 48 hours, participants are asked to track their steps, complete challenge goals and work their way up the leaderboard until the challenge ends Saturday, June 10 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Prizes will be awarded.

Heka Health is no stranger to the events industry. It helped the American Diabetes Association with a walking challenge for one of their events and the rest is history. It has been working with Caesars for about six years and has brought gamified challenges to conferences and trade shows sponsored by MPI, IMEX, PCMA, ASAE, CEMA, and ConferenceDirect.

“It supports the well-being of a community and helps keep them engaged,” Tony Salah, Co-Founder and CEO of Heka Health, said. “Popular with events, we also realized how we can support a community all year-round.”

Trade show organizers like the way the app can drive people to specific booths. “We gamify it so if an attendee goes to a booth to try a healthy fruit smoothie or goes to another and jumps a rope, they will get extra points. The possibilities are endless,” said Salah.

How can you participate in the Caesars Global Wellness Challenge? Download the Heka Well app and complete a registration form. Select Caesars Global Wellness from the challenge list and pair your Fitbit, Apple Watch or activity tracker. If you don’t have any of these devices, you can track your steps with a smartphone.
