NEW YORK CITY — Four clinical tracks, a business and practice operations theater, a veterinary technician track and sponsor-led workshops were all part of this year’s New York Vet Show held November 7-8 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
Over 2,300 delegates were in attendance at this CloserStill Media show, an increase of 21% from the 1,800 who attended in 2023. Of those, 52% were first-time attendees.
An impressive stat is 80% of the 202 exhibitors have rebooked for 2025. “It was exciting not only to see how many people were satisfied with the event but, also that many were increasing their footprint in anticipation of our continuously growing audience,” Joe Kowalsky, Event Director, said.

“This year, while seeing growth in all categories across the board, our largest growth came from veterinarians and the practice owner categories. For the majority of our exhibitors and sponsors, these are the two most important categories while onsite, as they can affect final purchasing decisions for their clinics. As we look ahead to 2025, these will remain as top areas of attention and investment,” Kowalsky said.
Many commented about the energy on the show floor. “It may have been a small thing but for me, a highlight of the show that kept me going was the DJ we added this year. It added a nice energy to the event floor and welcomed the audience with open arms to their celebration,” Kowalsky said.

Experiential activities abounded as well. “We also put a focus on mental health and physical wellness by adding a pickleball court to this year’s event alongside our Vet Show Spa which provided complimentary massages,” Kowalsky said.
But for many, the biggest highlight was the content. “Our partnerships with Clinician’s Brief for our clinical content, and Veterinary Practice News & NAVTA for our vet tech content took things up another level this year and gave our attendees information necessary to circumstances they are facing right now,” Kowalsky said.
New York Vet Show was launched in 2016.

“Over the past two years, we’ve worked as a team to make NY Vet a hub of community for veterinary professionals in the Northeast and beyond. In 2025, we’ll work to build off the amazing momentum from this past year and aim to make NY Vet a must attend event for everyone in our industry. We’ve got something special happening right now and our team has fully embraced a mantra of swinging big and going for it all,” Kowalsky said.
