Washington, DC – Bobit Business Media will re-launch its law-enforcement trade show TREXPO in Washington, DC next Spring in a strategic partnership with 1105 Media, Inc.
The event will run May 13-15 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and will be co-located with the annual GovSec Government Security Conference & Expo and Contingency Planning & Management Conference & Expo.
TREXPO was originally launched in 1990 and puts police, military and security officials in contact with exhibitors selling equipment and services for SWAT teams, high-level security providers and military special operations.
Bobit was forced to put TREXPO on hiatus this year due to economic considerations, but Bobit President & CEO Ty Bobit said the alliance with 1105 provided a desirable venue and association with the growing GovSec and Contingency Planning shows. GovSec2012 drew more than 3,200 attendees, a 29% increase over last year.
“For years we wanted to find a venue for TREXPO in the heart of Washington, DC, but it wasn’t practical to do it on its own,” Bobit said. “Co-locating TREXPO at the convention center with 1105 Media’s fine event means TREXPO has a found a great new home at a perfect location that will enable it to have more exposure to the law-enforcement community.”
