CHICAGO — Billington CyberSecurity, a CloserStill Media-owned leading cyber education company for executives in the public and private sector, announced the launch of Billington Critical Infrastructure CyberSecurity Summit.
“The inaugural Billington Critical Infrastructure CyberSecurity Summit in San Antonio is a new brand extension for Billington CyberSecurity, which traditionally has focused on cybersecurity education for the government market,” said Thomas K. Billington, Chairman and Chief Content Officer of Billington CyberSecurity. “Yet, it is a natural adjacency to pursue because over 80% of critical infrastructure exists in the private sector; and governments are highly reliant on a secure and resilient critical infrastructure.”
A Timely Launch
The launch of this event reflects the growing importance of the security of critical infrastructure in an age of growing threats.
“Cybersecurity is a top concern in the private sector,” Billington said. “Nearly two-thirds of CEOs at blue-chip firms cited cyberattacks as their biggest concern in the second quarter of 2026, according to The Conference Board and The Business Council, and as reported in The Wall Street Journal.”
Billington CyberSecurity cites a heightened risk environment for the context behind the launch of the Critical Infrastructure CyberSecurity Summit including several Chinese state-sponsored Advanced Persistent Threat groups targeting U.S. infrastructure, and Russian adversaries and Iranian regime-tied actors conducting cyberattacks with physical effects on the critical infrastructure in the U.S.

Leveraging Partnerships
The inaugural event will take place Nov. 17-18, 2026, at San Antonio’s Henry B. González Convention Center, with the National Council of ISACs (NCI) joining as the summit’s official Community ISAC partner. The partnership will extend to all of the Billington summits and will focus on audience engagement and cross-sector collaboration.
The Billington team also partnered with GovRAMP, and the new event will immediately follow the GovRAMP Cyber Summit, giving state, local, tribal and territorial government security leaders a greater opportunity to meet and collaborate around essential topics in person.
“NCI is composed of many Information Sharing Analysis Centers (ISACs) in specific verticals like finance and healthcare security; so, a partnership with NCI gives us access to many deep niched subject matter experts and specialized audiences we couldn’t ordinarily reach,” Billington said. “GovRamp, on the other hand, is a broader partnership. GovRamp is co-locating its annual meeting before our Critical Infrastructure Summit allowing two strong reasons for our attendees to come to San Antonio in November.

Building on a Strong Reputation
Billington CyberSecurity has more than 16 years of experience convening leaders from both the public and private sectors around cybersecurity education and collaboration to protect critical infrastructure.
Its annual Billington CyberSecurity Summit attracts more than 3,500 attendees and brings 250 speakers to the summit to share essential information and updates. The 17th edition of the event is set for Sept. 8-10, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
