Malvern, PA – Bill Norton was named vp, meetings & trade shows for HMP Communications as the company expands its presence in the healthcare meetings industry.
CEO Paul Mackler said the move was aimed at increasing HMP’s emphasis on meetings and trade shows as part of an overall growth strategy. “Bill’s broad experience in developing, launching and growing meetings and trade shows will play a major role in enabling HMP to achieve its goal of offering its clients expanded opportunities to reach their customers,” he said.
Norton has more than 20 years experience in the trade show industry as a general manager, group show director and conference director. He was most recently vice president of marketing for the association management firm Fernley & Fernley. HMP said Norton has managed more than 50 biopharmaceutical conferences during his career.
HMP produces non-peer review medical journals and various events such as the Annual Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and Symposium on Regulatory Issues for Management in Long Term Care. It also is the owner of the North American Center for Continuing Medical Education, which provides Continuing Medical Education events for physicians and other healthcare providers.
