Big Western Wear Show Moving to Big D in 2021

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

DALLAS – Dallas will be the new home of a major bi-annual trade show for the equestrian industry beginning in 2021.

The International Western/English Apparel & Equipment Market will take place twice a year at the Dallas Market Center beginning in January 2021, the Western & English Sales Association (WESA) announced in August.

The relocation brings the show, currently held in January and September at the Denver Mart, closer to its attendees in the U.S. and Latin America, and to the major market cities in Texas. “The central location, the Dallas facilities, the services and the marketing support will all help WESA members serve existing customers and offer the ability to reach more new customers,” WESA President Gerald Adame said.

The WESA is headquartered in Denver and held its first trade show there in 1922.

The upcoming Dallas markets will occupy space on two floors of the World Trade Center, one of four buildings on the Dallas Market Center campus. Permanent showroom space is available to exhibitors on a third floor. “It will be larger in terms of exhibit space and also the retail base attending,” WESA Executive Director Amy Dill said. “We will have temporary booths on the entire 11th floor, partially on the 12th floor and permanent showrooms on the 14th floor.”
