Chicago, IL – The notables of the trade show industry started arriving in Tuesday in Chicago, where the Swissôtel was abuzz with setup of the Trade Show Executive (TSE) Fastest 50 Awards & Summit.
Crews from Hargrove Inc. and PRG spent the day setting up the stage and audio-visual network that will bring to life the annual salute to the fastest-growing trade shows in the U.S.
The May 8-10 Fastest 50 begins Wednesday and culminates Thursday night with the presentation of the Grand Awards to the show organizers whose events enjoyed the strongest growth in exhibit space, exhibitor count and attendees last year.
Top show managers streamed through O’Hare and Midway airports and on to downtown where old friends and new colleagues were gathering to have their efforts saluted.
The proceedings officially begin Wednesday with the opening reception and a unique group outing to Wrigley Field to catch the game between the Chicago Cubs and arch-rival St. Louis Cardinals.
While the guests of honor enjoy the game, the finishing touches will be made in the meeting room at the Swissôtel where the educational sessions will take place on Thursday. The space will be transformed with equal skill and aplomb for the evening’s festivities, which will mark the payoff for show organizers and managers whose shows reached Fastest 50 speeds.
