Carlsbad, CA – Trade Show Executive named Ken Whitney as its new creative director. He will be responsible for all design work on TSE’s magazine, directories and website; the Gold 100 Awards Gala & Summit; and all exhibits and promotional materials.
Ken has a 16-year background as an art director. He has served as creative art director for Streamline Publishing, Inc.; creative services director for Hispanic Business magazine; art director for Freedom Technology Media Group’s CRM Magazine; and art director for the International Jet Sports Boating Association.
During his career, Ken won a Jesse H. Neal Certificate of Merit which has been called the Pulitzer Prize of the business media; two Maggie Awards; two ASBPE Awards; and while freelancing for TSE in 2006, won an APEX Award for the redesign of TSE’s directory of the World’s Top Convention Centers (WTCC). TSE VP/Publisher & Editor Darlene Gudea said, “Ken Whitney’s creativity and skill in communicating visually will be an asset as Trade Show Executive continues to grow in print, online and events.” He will focus on expanding the capabilities of TSE’s digital edition as well as TSE’s Gold 100 Awards & Summit. He replaces Tony MacAllister, who left to pursue other opportunities.
