Angus, Wallace Join CIC Hall of Leaders

Baltimore, MD – Sandy Angus, chairman of Montgomery Worldwide, and Cliff Wallace, managing director of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, were formally inducted into the Convention Industry Council (CIC) Hall of Leaders at a black-tie gala on June 21 at the Baltimore Convention Center. The CIC has honored the industry’s outstanding leaders and innovators with its biennial Hall of Leaders awards since 1985.

Both are past chairmen of UFI, the International Association of the Exhibition Industry, and have been active in other industry organizations for decades.

Angus has worked in the trade show industry for more than 40 years. He is a founder of the Exhibition Industry Association and past chairman of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events.

Wallace has been managing director of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre since 1995. The Virginia native is considered one of the pioneers of Asia’s thriving exhibition industry.

Also inducted into the Hall of Leaders were Christian Mutschlechner, director of the Vienna Convention Bureau, and Fay Beauchine, president, engagement and events, for Carlson Marketing.

The induction ceremony was held in conjunction with AIBTM-The Americas Meetings & Events Exhibition at the Baltimore Convention Center.
