Santa Monica, CA – Jessica Blue has been promoted to vice president of Licensing Expo at Advanstar Communications. Blue has been event director of Brand Licensing Europe and will relocate from London to Advanstar’s corporate headquarters in Santa Monica in 2013. Blue was tapped for the new position due to her success in expanding Brand Licensing Europe, said Chris DeMoulin, president of licensing and executive vice president of worldwide development at Advanstar Communications.
“As the licensing business becomes more global, and as brands increase their focus on expanding abroad, it was vital that we bring in someone who could give the show that global perspective,” he said. “Jessica is a seasoned European executive who has had great success expanding the reach of our European show,” he said. “She was a natural fit for the role.”
DeMoulin, who had been overseeing Licensing Expo, will step back from the day-to-day operations once Blue steps into her newly-created position.
