ACOM Founder William Just Dies at Age 68

Atlanta, GA – William Just, founder of the Association for Convention Operations Management (ACOM), died in Atlanta December 19 at the age of 68 after a long illness. Just formed ACOM as a non-profit organization in 1988 to raise the profile of the various venue, service providers and convention bureau professionals who work with meeting planners to bring trade shows to their communities. ACOM provides regular continuing education for convention services managers as well as preparatory courses for Certified Meeting Planner certification.
