Access Intelligence Expands Marketing-Sector Footprint

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

New York — Access Intelligence (AI) acquired AdExchanger in mid-June, beefing up its portfolio of specialized-topic conferences for rapidly changing digital advertising and marketing sectors.

AdExchanger organizes a trio of such conferences in the U.S. each year and produces digital news for the advertising and marketing sectors. The AdExchanger assets and staff will be folded into AI’s Media/Communications Group under Senior Vice President Diane Schwartz. The group also includes AdMonsters, PR News and Folio.

AdExchanger was represented in the sale by JEGI.

“AdExchanger is a natural fit with our other premier brands in this market,” said AI’s CEO, Don Pazour. “Our vision is to deliver best-in-class intelligence and connection points for our business communities, and AdExchanger does that with its fantastic reputation and content.”

The AdExchanger conference lineup includes the annual Industry Preview and Programmatic I/O New York, both held at major Manhattan hotels. The third conference is Programmatic I/O San Francisco. Programmatic refers to the use of software to make advertising buying decisions.

Access Intelligence also produces a slate of conferences in the space, including the Experiential Marketing Summit and EventTech.
