1105 Media Launching Government Procurement Show

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Washington, DC – A new trade show and conference aimed at federal government procurement personnel will be launched in Washington next year by 1105 Media, Inc.

ACQUIRE will debut June 8-9, 2016 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center with two days of educational sessions and an exhibit hall featuring a series of pavilions for companies offering professional services, office management and IT products.

Henry Allain, COO of 1105 Media, said ACQUIRE was a response to the evolution of the often-daunting government purchasing system. “As the tools, techniques and strategies of government programs are constantly evolving, government agencies are seeking new products and services to meet the demand of their programs,” Allain said. “We recognized the need for a show that brings together all of the stakeholders in the program lifecycle.”

The attendee pool for ACQUIRE is a wide range of policy makers, strategists, managers and end-users from civilian and military agencies. Registration opens in January, but 1105 is already selling booth space and sponsorships.

The new show is being organized by 1105’s Public Sector Media Group, which this Summer announced it was spinning off the Federal IT Acquisition Summit held in June with a second event of the same name to be held on October 20, 2015.
