New York, NY - The Action Pursuit Group, an operating company of Apprise Enthusiast Media, publisher of Drag Racer and  Drifting magazine,  has acquired Action Media, which organizes 20 annual events serving the automotive tuner and sports compact performance market as well as other consumer events in the boating and skiing sectors. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The Jordan, Edmiston Group, Inc. (JEGI)  represented Action Media in the transaction. 

“Action Media ….extends our multi-media reach in the fast-growing automotive enthusiast market and the desirable 18-to-34 year-old demographic,” said Craig Nickerson, CEO of Action Pursuit.  Michael Behringer, senior vp of development for Apprise Media,  said, “Action Media’s deep experience in the consumer events industry will serve as a springboard for us to launch consumer events in Action Pursuit’s non-automotive verticals, such as  paintball and martial arts.”
