Chicago, IL – Former show manager Heidi Voorhees has been named CEO of bXb Online LLC, the parent company of BOB.tv  - Best of Business - and will serve on bXb’s board of directors.

Voorhees will take over the duties of Tony Lorenz, who was recently named CEO of AlliedPRA, but he will remain the primary shareholder and member of the executive committee on the bXb board of directors.

Voorhees began her career with SmithBucklin where she rose to the position of Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for the Institute of Food Technologies (IFT). She was in charge of the annual IFT Annual Meeting + Food Expo, whose 2014 show ranked 89 on TSE’s Gold 100. She also spent two years at Experient, a Maritz Travel company, as Senior Vice President.

“I have been watching Tony and his team pioneer a big idea into a market that is tough to penetrate,” said Voorhees. “The opportunity ahead for BOB.tv is enormous, and the ability to lead this organization is incredibly exhilarating. At a time when our industry is on the cusp of more disruption than we’ve ever encountered before, I couldn’t be more confident in my ability to lead this important discussion underway.”

Lorenz said Voorhees’ experience with IFT would be an asset to BOB.tv, which delivers content to association audiences. “Associations are navigating disruptive markets, and BOB.tv’s role in their digital transformation has never been more important,” he said. “Our next CEO needs to thrive in a highly dynamic environment.”
