  • Emerald Expositions says it has ruled out extending Outdoor Retailer’s long relationship with Salt Lake City past 2018.
  • Exhibitors have been urging a boycott of Utah over its public land policies. Emerald says Interbike won’t be moving to Salt Lake either.
  • Europe’s Comexposium and Haymarket Media Group are teaming up to jointly produce Haymarket’s Cereals and Fruit Focus shows in the U.K.
  • Comexposium organizes SIMA, a bi-annual show in Paris for Europe’s agriculture sector. Comexposim says Cereals shows good growth potential.
  • Questex expects more than 65,000 attendees at the 100th edition of the International Beauty Show New York on March 12-14 at Javits Center.
  • IBS New York set a show record 65,200 attendees in 2016. The centennial will feature an opening-night party at a Midtown Manhattan venue.
  • SmithBucklin was chosen to provide management services to the Convention Industry Council. Karen Kotowski will remain CIC’s CEO.
  • SmithBucklin will help CIC manage its growing membership and range of programs. CIC will also move to a new address in Washington April 1
